Trauma Therapy Chicago

At Plant and Bloom Counseling, our approach doesn't involve offering direct advice or directives. Instead, we aim to sow seeds of contemplation. These seeds are intended to prompt profound reflection, inspire further inquiry, and prompt a reassessment of ingrained thought and behavioral patterns. As your therapist, I will assist you in delving into the origins of your thoughts, feelings, actions, and attachment-related struggles. Through the application of therapeutic techniques in your daily experiences and your committed participation in the process of healing, you will gradually blossom into a more restored and evolved self.

1.

Trauma

Experiencing trauma can significantly alter how we perceive ourselves and our environment. It can evoke a wide range of emotions as we navigate daily life. Trauma often leads to a sense of detachment from our physical selves, leaving us feeling as though we're merely operating on autopilot, merely going through the motions. In my practice, I employ a holistic approach that emphasizes the connection between mind and body in addressing trauma, along with various evidence-based techniques specifically tailored to trauma recovery.

2.

Anxiety

Anxiety has the potential to influence all aspects of your life, resulting in sensations of nervousness, persistent worry, and discomfort. If left unaddressed, it can significantly impede your ability to function. Through collaborative efforts, we will investigate the underlying origins of your anxiety, devise effective coping mechanisms and skills, and identify the triggers that exacerbate it. With the assistance of therapy, you can acquire the tools necessary to effectively manage and conquer your anxiety, enabling you to reclaim authority over your life.

3.

Attachment Issues

Attachment challenges can deeply affect one's adult relationships, fostering feelings of detachment and loneliness. If you're grappling with such issues, my therapy offerings aim to support you in navigating these hurdles, fostering healthier and more enriching connections. Collaboratively, we'll delve into the root causes of your attachment difficulties and formulate effective approaches to surmount them.
